Acanthus Georg Jensen sterling silver 925. Flatware Acanthus silver flat ware pattern # 180. Dinner set for 6 persons - Total parts 18.
Acanthus dinner knife no. 014, length 22.8 cm. 8 15/16 inches. long handle.
Acanthus dinner fork no. 012, length 18.1 cm. 7 1/8 inches.
Acanthus dinner spoon no. 011, length 18.9 cm. 7 7/16 inches. Fine condition, normal signs of use.
Designed by the painter, Johan Rohde, and produced since 1917. Johan Rohde, who lived for a time in Italy, was inspired by the antique style. This shows in the cutlery's pillar shaped handle which ends in a Corinthian capital with acanthus leaves. Johan Rohde began his close and lifelong association with Georg Jensen in 1906.
