In the early 60s struck the US-born photographer Walter Carl Gluck settled in a houseboat on the Amstel in Amsterdam to start a new phase of his life, the artist Viktor IV. His primary working material was collected drivtømmerdele in which he painted his subjects with oil paint and varnish. He managed to decorate more than 600 objects, was named American Icons. From the late '60s unfolded his art itself well through daily records of his thoughts, observations and events on special logbook sheets, which were all stamped and assembled in large logs.
