Lamp by Peter Tereszczuk, two children under af mushroom

Height 31 cm.

The lamp is in good condition with some age related patina to the children faces.
It has been rewired.
Peter Tereszczuk was an Austrian-Ukrainian sculptor known for his bronze Art Nouveau figurines.
His sculptures of boys and girls were often finished with faces in bone. This softer material made it possibly to get more expression in to the faces.
Peter Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in Wybudow, Ukraine, he studied wood carving at the school of Arts and Crafts in Vienna under Hermann Klotz.
The majority of his work was made between 1895 and 1925 in Vienna.
Tereszczuk died in 1963 in Vienna, Austria.
