Elegant “Coquille” bowl in layered art glass with pink colouring encased in clear glass, featuring the characteristic asymmetrical, upward-curving form typical of Kedelv’s organic glass design.

Bio:
Paul Kedelv (1917–1990) was a prominent Swedish glass designer. He began his training in 1931 at the Orrefors drawing studio under masters Simon Gate and Edward Hald. From 1949 to 1956, Kedelv worked at Flygfors glassworks, where he created the iconic “Coquille” pieces and developed advanced overlay glass techniques. Between 1956 and 1977, he worked at Reijmyre glassworks and also designed for Nybrofabrikken in Fröseke and Fåglaviks glassworks. Today, Kedelv’s work is highly regarded for its craftsmanship and distinctive organic aesthetic.
