Bio:
Blue Fluted Plain is Royal Copenhagen’s oldest and most enduring pattern, first introduced in 1775. Inspired by Chinese porcelain, the decoration is executed in freehand-painted cobalt blue underglaze, giving each piece subtle individual variation. Bowls produced in the 1920s reflect a continuation of traditional forms combined with refined craftsmanship, and are today valued for both their aesthetic quality and historical significance.
