Bio:
Sven Palmqvist (1906–1984) was one of the most influential Swedish glass designers of the 20th century and spent most of his career at Orrefors. He is renowned for his technical innovations and for developing new types of glass and decorative techniques, including Ariel and Ravenna glass. Palmqvist played a key role in establishing Orrefors’ international reputation and in shaping the global recognition of Swedish art glass.
