Bio:
Berndt Friberg (1899–1981) was a Swedish ceramic artist and one of the most important designers associated with Gustavsberg. He joined Gustavsberg in 1934, first working as a thrower for Wilhelm Kåge and later establishing his own studio at the factory. Friberg became internationally recognised for his exceptionally precise thrown forms and advanced glazes, especially hare’s fur glazes, and is considered one of the leading Scandinavian ceramic artists of the twentieth century.
