Bio:
Bo Örn (born 1949 near Vaasa, Finland) is a Swedish painter, draughtsman and graphic artist who grew up in Sweden. He studied graphic art in Germany and painting under Lars Sjöström. Örn is particularly associated with a stylised form of cosmic Surrealism, also described as cosmic realism, in which light, spatial perspective and floating geometric forms play central roles. His oil paintings frequently employ thin, transparent layers of colour and softly blended transitions, producing distinctive effects of luminosity and spatial depth. He has also worked with lithography, linocut and woodcut and has exhibited in Sweden and internationally.
