Sculptural glazed ceramic vase with a rounded, teardrop-shaped body and narrow neck. Decorated with large, stylised floral and botanical motifs in warm orange tones against a white background, complemented by a small golden detail. The organic shape and graphic decoration give the vase a distinctive artistic expression. Retains its original manufacturer's label.

Bio:
Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905–1952) was a Swedish ceramicist, artist and designer who played an important role in the development of Swedish ceramic art during the 20th century. She joined Upsala-Ekeby in 1933 and created a range of distinctive ceramic works inspired by natural forms, flowers and plants. Her designs were characterised by stylised motifs, soft organic shapes and refined colour combinations. She is particularly known for her decorative vases, dishes and ceramic collections, which are now highly sought after by collectors.
