Swedish 1800s decanter glass / Racker glass with a wooden base and with a fine old patina. H:11cm.

Racker glass, especially drinking glass, which in ancient times was used for serving to racketeers, nightmen and the like, who were not allowed to drink from glass, which was used by others. The glass was not of a specific type, but could often be recognized by the fact that the foot had been knocked off and replaced with a foot of wood.
