Beautiful mouth-blown porter glass with ground facets on the sides and a thick base with a short stem.
The glass has a large polished pontil underneath and has a nice purple color.
To remove the greyish tone glass could get, manganese was added. This helped to clean the mass and give the glass a whiter color. At times, the glass mass was over-coloured and acquired a purple or pinkish tinge, which is the case with this glass.
The glass is in good condition with expected signs of use
