Bio
Marianne Westman (1928–2017) was one of Sweden’s most prominent ceramic designers of the postwar period. She worked for Rörstrand from 1950 to 1971, creating a number of highly popular tableware and decorative series. Her design language was characterized by humor, joy of color, and the ability to combine everyday functionality with strong decorative appeal. Today, her works are sought-after collectibles and are regarded as classics of Swedish midcentury design.
