Bio: Royal Copenhagen (founded 1775) and Bing & Grøndahl (founded 1853, merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987) are among Denmark’s most renowned porcelain manufacturers. Their naturalistic animal figures, especially cats and dogs, have been popular collector’s items throughout the 20th century.
