Bio:
Founded in 1815 in Lambeth, London, Royal Doulton quickly became one of England’s leading porcelain and stoneware manufacturers. In the early 20th century, the company was renowned for its artistic vases and Skønvirke-inspired designs, where craftsmanship and decoration merged in a characteristic Art Nouveau style. During the 1920s, Royal Doulton developed a more international aesthetic, retaining elements of Art Nouveau and Skønvirke while experimenting with new glazing techniques typical of the period.
