Large decorative dish in the iconic turquoise Argenta glaze with silver inlay. The centre features a mythological figure rendered in Kåge’s characteristic linework, surrounded by a silver-inlaid braided border. A striking and less common Argenta piece in a substantial format.

Bio:
Willhelm Kåge (1889–1960), artistic leader at Gustavsberg, was a key figure in Swedish art deco and modern ceramic design. Introduced in the 1930s, the Argenta series combines saturated glazes with sterling-silver inlays and includes geometric, floral and mythological imagery. The series gained international recognition and remains one of the most collectible categories in Swedish ceramics.
