Impressive cone-shaped vase in stoneware with a deep, saturated oxblood glaze and vertical relief ribs around the lower section.
A striking early example of Olsen’s Royal Copenhagen stoneware production.

Bio:
Thorkild Olsen (1890–1973) was a key artist in Royal Copenhagen’s stoneware department during the early 20th century. He specialised in strong, often Asian-inspired glazes—especially oxblood and sang-de-boeuf—and developed a sculptural, well-balanced formal language. His pieces are highly sought after today for their technical refinement and characteristic early modernist aesthetic.
