Hand-glazed stoneware vase in a light matte glaze with impressed geometric relief decoration. The sharply modelled, angular form is characteristic of L. Hjorth’s modernist stoneware production during the mid-century period.

Bio:
L. Hjorth’s Terracotta Factory, founded in 1859 in Rønne, grew into one of Bornholm’s most distinctive ceramic workshops of the 20th century. The factory became known for sculptural forms, hand-decorated surfaces and experimental stoneware series, all of which are today highly appreciated by collectors of Danish ceramics.
