Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg, cucumber dish.
Elongated, naturalistically shaped faience dish modelled as a cucumber, with pronounced ribbing and a glossy green glaze in subtly varied tones. A distinctive and playful design from Stig Lindberg’s later production at Gustavsberg, produced in the 1970s. The model is known as “Cucumber”.

Bio:
Stig Lindberg was one of the most influential Swedish designers of the 20th century and worked for Gustavsberg for more than thirty years. His output ranges from functional tableware to whimsical and sculptural objects, characterised by organic forms, strong colour sensibility, and a distinctive sense of humour. The naturalistic serving dishes produced during the 1960s and 1970s are today regarded as some of his most iconic and collectible designs.
