Lidded porcelain vase with integrated handle, decorated with hand-painted underglaze in Art Nouveau style featuring floral and foliage motifs in subdued blue and green tones. Model 1378/29.

Around 1900, Art Nouveau was a key stylistic direction at Royal Copenhagen, characterised by organic forms, flowing lines and nature-inspired decoration. Lidded vessels and vases with integrated handles are typical of the period and reflect the ambition to unite function and ornament in a coherent whole, executed with a high level of craftsmanship.
