Pair of small cylindrical vases in thrown stoneware with a glossy blue glaze at the base and rim, combined with a sand-coloured unglazed central section. Simple, functional forms characteristic of Danish modernism from the 1960s.

Bio:
Nils Kähler (1920–2009) was an important figure within the later generation of the Kähler workshop and played a significant role in the development of Danish stoneware in the mid-20th century. His works from the 1960s are characterised by clean forms, restrained decoration, and a deliberate contrast between glazed and unglazed surfaces, highlighting the tactile qualities of the material.
