Bio:
Jens Birkemose (1943–2022) worked with a personal and experimental visual language in which abstraction and figuration often intersect in a spontaneous manner. His works from the 1970s and 1980s are characterised by rapid line work, layered surfaces and a free approach to perspective and spatial structure, giving the compositions a dynamic, almost diary-like quality.
