Bio:
Around 1900, Danish utilitarian glass was characterised by a transition from historicist styles to simpler and more functional forms, often combined with decorative metal mounts. Bowls and serving pieces in coloured glass with silver or silver-plated handles were used both for serving and as decorative tableware. The combination of glass and metal reflects the period’s interest in contrasting materials and high standards of craftsmanship.
