Both Kosta Boda and Sea Glasbruk were known in the 1980s for Swedish art glass with strong colours and playful, figurative motifs. Production often featured mouth-blown forms with encased figures and hand-painted graphic details, giving the works a distinctive and recognisable character. Such pieces combine studio glass tradition with decorative design and are today sought after by collectors.
