Ego Stengods, falcon figure.
Naturalistically modelled falcon in glazed stoneware with a brown body, yellow head and breast, and detailed decoration on the wings. The figure stands on a square base and is stamped EGO Stengods, Lidköping, Sweden together with the model number on the underside.
Origin: Sweden.
Material: Stoneware.
Dimensions: H. 22 cm, W. 9 cm.
Period: 1960s.
Condition: Excellent condition with minor signs of wear.
Bio:
EGO Stengods was a Swedish ceramic workshop based in Lidköping, active during the mid-20th century. The workshop is known for its decorative animal figures and functional stoneware, often characterised by rich glazes and clearly defined modelling. Production from the 1950s and 60s reflects the Scandinavian interest in natural motifs and solid craftsmanship.
