Early stoneware lidded jar with rounded body and flat lid. Glazed in a cream tone with fine crackle pattern and a warm reddish edge along lid and foot.

Bio:
Saxbo Stoneware was founded in 1929 in Herlev, Denmark. The workshop became known for its restrained forms and experimental glazes with depth and subtle tonal variation. Production was characterised by high craftsmanship, and Saxbo is today regarded as one of the most significant Danish studio pottery workshops of the twentieth century.
