Bio:
Georg Jensen (1866–1935) was a Danish silversmith and designer internationally recognised as one of the leading figures of Scandinavian design. He founded the Georg Jensen silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. Jensen’s work is celebrated for its organic forms and natural inspiration, strongly influenced by the Art Nouveau movement. His workshop quickly became one of the world’s most important producers of artistic silverware, and many of his classic flatware and silver designs remain in production today.
