Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish-Finnish ceramicist, designer, and one of the leading figures in Scandinavian modern ceramics. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955, where he created some of the factory’s most iconic stoneware series and glazes. Nylund is especially celebrated for his organic forms, innovative glazing techniques, and enduring Scandinavian modern aesthetic.
