Bio:
Björn Trägårdh (1908–1998) was a Swedish furniture, graphic, and industrial designer best known for his work for Svenskt Tenn from the late 1920s through the 1930s. He designed a wide range of functionalist furniture, pewter objects, lighting, and decorative works in Swedish Grace and early modernist styles. Working closely with Estrid Ericson, Trägårdh played a major role in shaping Svenskt Tenn’s early visual identity. His works are represented in institutions including the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
