Bio:
Gunnar Nylund (1904–1997) was a Swedish-Finnish ceramicist and designer, recognised as one of Scandinavia’s most important ceramic artists of the 20th century. He served as artistic director at Rörstrand from 1931 to 1955, creating some of the factory’s most iconic stoneware series, often distinguished by nature-inspired glazes, organic forms, and technical innovation. His work remains highly regarded for its sculptural quality and refined Nordic aesthetic.
