Bio:
Berndt Friberg (1899–1981) was a Swedish ceramic artist and one of the foremost masters of Scandinavian stoneware. He worked for Gustavsberg from 1934 and became celebrated for his perfectly thrown forms and extraordinary hand-glazed surfaces. His works are represented in major museum collections worldwide and are considered among the most sought-after examples of twentieth-century Swedish ceramic art.
