Decorative stoneware vase, model 1021, from the Spectra series. The vase features a cylindrical form with a hand-decorated relief motif of leaves and fish, executed in muted earth tones characteristic of Anna-Lisa Thomsons celebrated designs.

Bio:
Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905–1952) was a Swedish ceramic artist, sculptor and designer. She joined Upsala Ekeby in 1933 and created some of the companys most iconic ceramic designs. Her work was inspired by nature and is distinguished by elegant proportions, organic decoration and a timeless Nordic aesthetic. The Spectra series was introduced after her death and continued the decorative language for which she became renowned, making it one of the most sought-after Upsala Ekeby series among collectors today.
