Bio:
Émile Gallé (1846–1904) was a French glass artist, ceramicist and furniture designer, and one of the leading figures of the Art Nouveau movement. He established his workshops in Nancy and pioneered innovative techniques in layered glass, engraving and acid etching. His works are celebrated for their botanical motifs and technical sophistication and are regarded among the finest achievements of European art glass around 1900.
