Hans Valter (H. V.) Sandberg (1922–2004) was a Swedish painter associated with the post-war modernist movement. During the 1950s and 1960s he developed a distinctive visual language characterised by bold colour fields, balanced compositions and lyrical abstraction, making his work representative of the Scandinavian modernist tradition of the period.
