The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710 and is regarded as Europes first producer of hard-paste porcelain. The manufactory is renowned for its hand-painted floral decorations, which have been produced in numerous variations over the centuries. The blue floral motifs combine Meissens traditional porcelain painting with elegant, naturalistic compositions and demonstrate the manufactorys high level of craftsmanship.
