Bio:
Lucie Rie (1902–1995) was an Austrian-born British ceramicist and one of the most influential potters of the twentieth century. She studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Vienna before relocating to London in 1938. Her work is celebrated for its elegant proportions, refined glazes and exceptional craftsmanship, making her ceramics among the most sought-after examples of modern studio pottery.
