Hexagonal hand-painted porcelain tea caddy with lid, decorated in a Chinese-inspired style featuring polychrome floral motifs, a heraldic coat of arms and moulded relief ornamentation. Marked on the base.

Bio:
The Samson factory was founded in Paris by Edmé Samson (1810–1891) in 1845 and became renowned for producing high-quality porcelain inspired by European and Chinese originals. The company specialised in faithful reproductions of historic porcelain from manufactories including Meissen, Sèvres, Chelsea and Chinese Qing dynasty wares. Today, Samson porcelain is highly regarded by collectors for its exceptional craftsmanship and finely executed hand-painted decoration.
