Bio:
Mats Jonasson (born 1945) is a Swedish glass artist and designer who began his career at Målerås Glassworks in 1959. He is internationally recognised for his nature-inspired works, particularly wildlife subjects rendered as sandblasted and hand-engraved reliefs in solid crystal. During the 1970s and 1980s he also created designs for Royal Krona, and his art glass remains highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
