Atmospheric floral composition depicting water lilies and aquatic plants on a tranquil pond, executed in oil on board. The composition is dominated by large white water-lily blossoms and green floating leaves, surrounded by reeds and reflections across the surface of the water. Signed and dated 1960.

Bio:
Sigrid Roos af Hjelmsäter-Wallert (1890–1972) was a Swedish painter who studied at the Higher School of Industrial Arts in Stockholm and under Carl Wilhelmson. She also undertook study trips to countries including Germany, France and Italy. Her artistic output included landscapes, still lifes and floral subjects, and she exhibited both independently and in numerous Swedish and international exhibitions.
