Set of three coffee cups with matching saucers in white porcelain, designed by Axel Salto in 1956. The cups have a simple, elegant form with a subtle relief structure.

Bio:
Axel Salto (1889–1961) was a Danish artist, graphic artist, illustrator and ceramicist and is regarded as one of the most significant Danish ceramic artists of the 20th century. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and worked throughout his career with, among others, Bing & Grøndahl and Royal Copenhagen, which he joined in 1933. Salto is particularly renowned for his organic and sculptural ceramic forms, and in 1956 he designed this white porcelain service for Royal Copenhagen.
