Bio:
Kutani refers to a distinguished Japanese porcelain tradition with roots in Kaga Province dating to the 17th century. Kutani porcelain is known for its rich ornamentation, distinctive use of colour and detailed decoration. During the first half of the 20th century, traditional Japanese decorative techniques were combined with the geometric design language of the period, giving many pieces a distinctive and highly decorative character.
