Bio:
Erik Magnussen (1940–2014) was a Danish designer who graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Copenhagen with a silver medal in 1960. He worked for Bing & Grøndahl for several years, developing functional porcelain tableware distinguished by simplicity and stackability. During the 1960s, he designed the stackable Form 679 service. Magnussen received the Lunning Prize in 1967 and later became known for a wide range of functional objects in porcelain, steel and plastic. His work is represented in museum collections worldwide.
