Bio:
Nils Kähler (1906–1979) was a Danish ceramicist and a fourth-generation member of the Kähler family in Næstved. The son of Herman H.C. Kähler, he continued the familys ceramic tradition with a particular interest in stoneware, simple forms and tactile glazes. Together with his brother Herman J. Kähler, he took over the management of the Kähler workshop in 1940, and his post-war work reflects the workshops development towards a simpler and more modern design language.
