Set of four cups and four matching saucers from the Mariscal Para series, produced for the Spanish manufacturer Bidasoa. The cups are decorated with Mariscal’s characteristic line-drawn figures in black and grey tones.

Bio:
Javier Mariscal (born 1950 in Valencia) is a Spanish designer and artist who has worked in Barcelona since the early 1970s. His career encompasses graphic design, illustration, furniture, interiors and ceramics, and his visual language is known for its free, playful and expressive line drawings. In 1989 he founded Estudio Mariscal, and he gained international recognition as the creator of Cobi, the mascot for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games.
