Bio:
Bjørn Wiinblad (1918–2006) was a Danish artist, ceramicist and designer who studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. In 1957, he began a long-standing collaboration with the German porcelain manufacturer Rosenthal, creating numerous designs in porcelain, glass and cutlery. Wiinblad became known for his imaginative and highly ornamental style, drawing inspiration from music, theatre and fairy tales.
