Sculptural bowl in clear crystal glass with an undulating rim and pronounced vertical sections that enhance the refraction of light through the glass. The Orion model was designed by Lars Hellsten for Orrefors in 1987. Original box included.

Bio:
Lars Hellsten (1933–2022) was a Swedish glass artist and designer, educated in sculpture and ceramics at Konstfack in Stockholm. He worked as a designer for Skruf Glassworks from 1964 to 1972 before joining Orrefors, where he remained for more than 25 years. Hellsten worked extensively with techniques including cast and centrifuged glass, and his works are represented in the collections of institutions including the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
