Bio:
The Meissen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1710. The green Vine Leaf pattern was created in 1817 by Johann Samuel Arnhold using the new chromium oxide green underglaze colour developed by Heinrich Gottlob Kühn. The pattern subsequently became one of Meissen’s classic decorations. The Crossed Swords have served as the manufactory’s distinctive trademark since 1722.
