Handwoven rya carpet in pure wool with a dense pile and a distinctive geometric pattern in red, cream, pale yellow, grey and black tones. The composition is formed by horizontal fields of colour with repeated angular shapes, creating a rhythmic graphic expression.

Bio:
Rya is a traditional Nordic weaving technique featuring long wool knots tied onto a woven foundation. In Sweden, the technique was further developed during the 20th century and became prominent in both textile art and interior design. During the 1960s and 70s, rya textiles were often produced in pure wool with bold geometric patterns and distinct colour contrasts.
