Early and rare coffee pot, model 137, designed by Just Andersen. Executed in pewter with a simply curved body, a decorative lid with modelled ornamentation and a handle in exotic wood. A characteristic example of Andersen’s early metalwork from the 1920s.

Bio:
Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish sculptor and designer known for his work in metal. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and established his own workshop in 1918. His production included hollowware, bowls, vases, candlesticks and figurines in pewter, bronze and his proprietary metal alloy, Disko metal. His early works from the 1920s combine sculptural detailing with functional forms and belong to the decorative arts of early Danish modernism.
