Richard Uhlemeyer, unique vase.
Ceramic vase with a full, rounded body, short neck and slightly flared rim. The vase features a distinctive multicoloured glaze in turquoise, pink, reddish and grey tones with vibrant colour transitions. Unique model from the 1940s.

Bio:
Richard Uhlemeyer (1900–1954) was a German ceramicist and craftsman, born in Göttingen and deceased in Hanover. He studied at the arts and crafts school in Hanover and established his own pottery workshop there in 1935. His production included vessels in high-fired clay and stoneware, encompassing serial production, unique pieces and experimental glazes. Uhlemeyer was also a prominent figure in German craftsmanship and served from 1949 until his death in 1954 as the first president of the Central Association of German Crafts.
