Pair of large crystal wine glasses by Theresienthal with decorative 24-karat gold detailing. The model is executed in the Bohemian tradition with broad bowls, faceted stems and richly decorated gold borders.

Bio:
Theresienthal was founded in 1836 near Zwiesel in Bavaria by Bohemian-born glass merchant Franz Steigerwald. The glassworks was named after Queen Therese, wife of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Theresienthal became renowned for luxurious handcrafted crystal and historically supplied glassware to the Bavarian royal household and other European courts. Its production is characterised by traditional techniques including mouth-blowing, cutting, engraving and hand-gilding.
